Block installed is an EJ22T from a Legacy, these are the Closed deck, aluminum head blocks that are able to handle for high-turbo application, similar to the Ej22G that was in the 22B STI.

PO had the transmission rebuilt. Shortly after I got it, it spun a rod bearing, so I put a new short block in it (found it on MNSubaru) and since has always had Rotella or better. This spring it got new:
