Rent/Borrow Timing Tools- Twin Cities

Sorry if there is a thread somewhere, the site keeps throwing an Error every time I use the Search.

I am looking to Rent/Borrow or even Buy an exhaust cam holder tool. I was able to get my Intake cam bolt off but the exhaust side is not budging. I’ve tried getting the T- belt tight, using a rubber holding strap and I just can get the leverage to break bolt free.

I’m in Vadnais Heights but willing to meet anywhere within reason around the cities and beyond.

So aa I posted I recently picked up a 18 Forester XT, it only came with 1 fob. Called the dealer and they was almost 500 for the fob and another 200 in labor, no thanks. I found some refurbished fobs on eBay for 70ish, what would I need to get it programmed and who can do it?

I have a new to me 2014 Forester that I will need to find a good, reliable oil change shop for. Looking Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Ok driving a little bit if need be. I refuse to go to Bobby and Steve's after they missed a seized brake caliper on my last Subaru. I really just need someone that can give my car a regular once over, let me know of any upcoming service, and not rip me off. Is the dealership my only option?

Subaru unveiled a couple new STi Concept at TAS and the Performance B seems to be a near production model. I anticipate some of the accents to be toned down, but could we see the return of the STi in a non-electric form to the States??

I'm searching a few companies and groups I knew have done this in the past but I'm struggling to find current vendors.

Looking for someone that sells a spool style RWD conversion for the early 5 speeds found in the foresters/GC imprezas. Most of what I'm finding are the MR style conversions for VWs and Factory five kit cars and 6 speed DCCD delete spools.

I swapped out the OEM one years ago for a Sony with Bluetooth. It worked great until a few months ago, when the Bluetooth ceased to work with the paired phone. Numerous people tried to re-establish the connection, but no luck. Time for new(er) head unit? Upgrade phone? Loose connection/disconnected in back? Thanks

For those who haven't seen his channel before, it's probably best described as an engine autopsy channel. He runs a yard, and basically dismantles bad engines and points out what went wrong, probably why, and all kinds of things like that. I need to do difs and cvt flush. I have read that some shops just do drain and refill but I want to keep a car for a long time and would prefer to do a full flush.

Q1. Should I do a full flush?

So it has been some years since my last Subaru purchase! Last one was a one way flight to New Jersey for the series.blue BRZ. This go round is a short road trip to the new addition.

After much household debate and talks of selling the BRZ for something more family friendly, the decision to pick up a supplemental Subaru has been finalized. Heading down to Iowa this morning to pick up a 2010 Subaru Forester as a winter beater/family truckster/work vehicle!

So after handing off my bugeye to @pinjasaur, I had initially planned to wait until maybe next spring to replace it but apparently I'm too impatient for that. As a result, I now have this 2016 series.hyperblue BRZ sitting in my garage. 92k miles with a few minor mods, and the usual chips/dings/scratches your expect for a daily. There are definitely several little things I'd like to replace or add to it, but overall loving it so far and excited to get some miles on it....

Hopefully this goes well, for some reason they were pretty insistent that I run it with no reserve. Might be worried for nothing but I just really don't want it to end up selling for less than it should. In any case, guess I need to start shining it up and find someone to take pictures of it now. Could use the old cell phone camera but I'd expect better photos would get the bids up faster.
