Welcome to MNsubaru , 4kingMike! Lots of good reading on this site. Hope some of it can help persuade or benefit you on your quest for the holy subaru!
What's up Mike. Still playing softball? What cars are you looking at? Each year/model has it's own issues. Cost to fix ranging from a couple paychecks to divorce settlement. -sheen
Hey buddy, long time no see! Unfortunately, I only played on a work softball team when I had time this past summer. Taking night classes right now for my new life venture and that's been keeping me super busy
Nice having you here and good luck with your search! So, it's a bit early to say, but the newer turbo motors (2010+ legacy gt and 2015 wrx) seems to be holding up better than the turbo ej25x in the 06-14 wrx and 05-09 lgt in the reliability department. They're definitely much easier to work on imo. New lease rates are hard to beat. You don't see 0.9% on the wrx, but 2.9% pops up often enough. Locally, Morries and Walser have good warranty programs (but require service and maintenance done there) for both new and used if that's a concern.
Nice choice! I think you made a wise decision based on what I have heard about the new wrx. Hopefully you bought it from Walser or Morries!
Story of my life I used to ride almost year-round in college but that was when I had an older bike that I didn't care too much about. I wait until most/all of the salt is off the roads before this one is coming out.
